DOCUMENTED FORENSIC WORKFLOW
The scope is defined with counsel around relevant custodians, date ranges, data sources, search terms, privacy considerations, and production needs. When appropriate, AMR documents the source, collection method, date, custodian, tool or procedure used, and integrity checks. Processing may include extracting metadata, normalizing dates, identifying duplicates, indexing content, and organizing responsive material for counsel’s review.
LITIGATION SUPPORT AND LIMITATIONS
Technical analysis may help identify missing records, unusual metadata, deleted artifacts, inconsistent timestamps, or gaps that require follow-up. The availability and completeness of electronically stored information depend on retention settings, account access, device condition, encryption, synchronization, and prior deletion or overwriting.
AMR explains the technical work performed, supported observations, and important limitations. Legal relevance, privilege, responsiveness, proportionality, admissibility, and production decisions remain determinations for counsel and the court. Findings may be provided through consultation, documented collection notes, written reporting, demonstrative timelines, or testimony when authorized.
